Playground for Pastor Nancy's "kids"

Have you ever had a dream? No, not the ones while you’re sleeping. A dream for something to come true?! Have you ever met a person that is so warm and caring and inviting and, oh…you just felt like you’ve known her forever?

WE HAVE! That person would be our very own Pastor Nancy Minion. Pastor Nancy has nurtured our Children’s Ministry into one of the best in this area, because she did it with a heart full of love for our kids. She wore many hats as counselor, mentor, facilitator, ministry director, friend and “mom” to so many.

So, that’s the person! Now…the dream.

Pastor Nancy has dreamed and accomplished a multitude of things for our kids and their walk with the Lord. One of those dreams has been a playground for them to feel the sunshine on their face, to feel safe in, to call all their own…to slide down slides and swing on swings…and, well, to be KIDS! She’s picked out the location, laid down some plans and spoke of this dream with a twinkle in her eye.

Unfortunately, we are sad to say that our beloved Pastor Nancy has had to step down from her position due to the diagnosis of ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and all that it demands from her and her loving family. But, she dreams on. We are striving to make that dream come true for her and her New Hope kids! And, now we have a dream...

We would love to have Pastor Nancy’s dream realized as soon as possible. We would love to have her see the kids playing on ground that’s been transformed from gravel and dirt to colorful slides and swings and alive with children’s laughter!

Won’t you help? We’re not envisioning anything elaborate, just something simple, sturdy and safe.
